Spyrídon Loúis
Spyrídon Loúis (en grec Σπυρίδων Λούης), souvent appelé Spýros Loúis (Σπύρος Λούης), 12 janvier 1873, Maroussi – 26 mars 1940, était un athlète grec qui devint le premier champion olympique du marathon des Jeux Olympiques d'été de 1896. Il devint par la suite un héros national, son nom passant en expression en grec : « courir comme un Louis ».
Il obtint ensuite le monopole de l'approvisionnement en eau de la capitale depuis les sources de Maroussi[1].
