Field goal

Le field goal est un terme utilisé dans le football américain pour désigner une manière d'inscrire des points.

Dans le football canadien, le terme officiel en français est "botté de placement".

Cette technique consiste à faire passer le ballon entre les deux poteaux en cours de match, ce qui vaut 3 points.

Après un touchdown (action de d'aller dans la zone d'en-but adverse avec le ballon), on peut tenter une conversion par un field goal, qui sera tiré à peu près à 20 yards des poteaux, et qui rapportera 1 point de plus. Dans le football canadien, le terme officiel en français est "transformation".
