Gavin Michael Thomas est né le 22 octobre 1977 à Leamington Spa (Angleterre). C’est un joueur de rugby à XV, qui joue avec l'Équipe du Pays de Galles de rugby à XV depuis 2001, évoluant au poste de troisième ligne (1,87 m pour 102 kg). Il joue actuellement avec les Newport Dragons.
