Ishkur

Ishkur

Ishkur est un dieu mésopotamien, gouvernant la pluie et le tonnerre.

Il semble avoir été lié particulièrement à la cité de Bit-Khakhuru (Karkara). Représenté soit sous la forme d'un taureau, soit sous forme humaine tenant la foudre, il est fils de la Lune (Nanna) et l'époux d'une déesse Shala. Il a son équivalent akkadien, sous la forme plus connue d'Adad.
