En 1916, création de l'entreprise, à Oakland, Californie, États-Unis. Un plan initial de construction de voitures fut abandonné au profit de la production de camions et d'autobus. Avec des modèles à capot de 2.5 à 6 tonnes de charge utile, avec des moteurs à essence 4 cylindres Waukesha et pneus pleins. Aussi la firme fabriquaient des véhicules de ferme.
En 1925, une nouvelle gamme de camions de 1.5 à 5 tonnes fut introduit. Les véhicules continuèrent à s'améliorer avec l'arrivée des pneumatiques, du démarrage électriques et de l'éclairage.
En 1930, un modèle de tracteur qui pouvaient tirer une charge de 10 tonnes fut introduit. Aussi quelques tracteurs 6x4 gros travaux fut proposés.
En 1938, les ventes étaient insuffisantes et Fageol dût déposer son bilan. par la suite la firme fut démantelée; Sterling Trucks pris son réseau de distribution, tandis que Theodore Alfred Peterman pris possessions de l'usine et des droits de fabrication des modèles et introduisit la marque Peterbilt.
