Zeta Geminorum (ζ Gem / ζ Geminorum) est une étoile dans la constellation des Gémeaux. Elle est aussi connue sous son nom traditionnel Mekbuda. Le nom Mekbuda possède des racines dans l'ancien arabe où lui et l'étoile Mebsuta (Epsilon Geminorum) étaient les pattes d'un lion . Mekbuda vient d'une phrase signifiant « la patte pliée du lion ».
Cette étoile est une supergéante qui se situe sur la gauche de la « jambe » du jumeau de Pollux. C'est une Céphéide et sa magnitude apparente varie entre +3,7 et +4,2, avec une période d'environ 10,2 jours. L'étoile se situe à approximativement 1200 années-lumière de la Terre.
