Les vaiśya, (वैश्य, lié au clan, aussi - ârya) désigne les membre d'une des quatre varnas (varṇa, वर्ण, « couleur ») qui se compose d'artisans, commerçants, hommes d'affaires, agriculteurs et bergers.
