Le Goéland marin (Larus marinus) est une espèce d'oiseau de la famille des Laridae.

Description

C'est un grand goéland (61 à 74 cm de long pour 1,4 à 1,7 m d'envergure) au dos noir aux pattes couleur chair et au bec massif.

Identification

  • Juvénile : Couleur grise
  • Adulte : grande taille, ailes et dos noir et blanc, pattes couleur chair, bec jaune avec un point rouge.
  • Subadulte , grande taille, contraste marqué entre le dos et le ventre.

Aire de répartition

Côtes nord-américaines et îles de l'Atlantique nord. Côtes et estuaires de Scandinavie, Irlande, Angleterre, Bretagne (ex : Pointe du Grouin), s'aventure à l'intérieur des terres en hiver.
