Kim Jong-chol
Kim Jong-chol (également orthographié Kim Jong-chul), né le 27 septembre 1981, est le deuxième fils de Kim Jong-il et le premier qu'il eut avec Ko Young-hee. C'est le frère de Kim Jong-un désigné pour prendre la succession de son père à la tête du pays[1] et le demi-frère de Kim Jong-nam.
Il a étudié en Suisse à linternational school of Berne[2] (ISB).
Un successeur potentiel
Longtemps pressenti pour prendre la place de Kim Jong-il à la tête du pays, Kim Jong-nam tombe en disgrâce en tentant de se rendre à Disneyland Tokyo muni d'un faux passeport dominicain[3]. Kim Jong-chol, apparait alors comme un successeur potentiel. Mais selon Kenji Fujimoto, ancien chef cuisinier de Kim Jong-il de 1988 à 2001, Kim Jong-chol serait efféminé[4] et effacé[5]. Selon son père, il n'aurait pas la carrure pour assumer cette responsabilité. Kim Jong-il aurait désigné Kim Jong-un, son plus jeune fils, pour prendre sa succession[6].
Problèmes de santé
Il souffrirait d'un déséquilibre hormonal[4].
