La télévision algérienne a mit en service à titre expérimental "la chaîne 4" le mercredi 18 Mars 2009, il s'agit d'une chaîne en langue Tamazight dans ses déclinaisons kabyle, chaoui, targui, chenoui et mozabite, elle émet six heures par jour de 17h00 à 23h00.
