KH-8

La longue série de satellites espions Keyhole 8 ou KH-8, de nom de code Gambit, a été produite aux États-Unis, de juillet 1966 à avril 1984.

Après la prise de vue, les cartouches de films photographiques étaient éjectés vers la terre à bord d'une capsule munie d'un parachute. La résolution au sol était de 0,5 m. Au total, 54 lancements furent effectués, tous depuis la Vandenberg Air Force Base et à bord de différentes variantes du lanceur Titan III.

Les satellites furent construits par Lockheed.
