John Ketcham, dont le nom complet est John Jeremy Ketcham, a été considéré par certains comme un sorcier maléfique chassé de Salem pour sorcellerie au XVIIe siècle.

Biographie

Il aurait été le premier habitant de la maison hantée d'Amityville.

Ketcham avait construit cette résidence pour qu'elle serve de foyer à des Amérindiens. Mais il y aurait torturé des Amérindiens à mort et aurait jeté une dizaine de cadavres dans le lac d'Amityville.

Il se serait suicidé dans la cave de la maison hantée. Il se serait tranché la gorge pour hanter les lieux à jamais...

La maison d'Amityville est dite hantée par les esprits des Amérindiens torturés, par l'âme maudite de John Ketchum, par le plus jeune fils des DeFeo (et non par Jody qui est un personnage fictif du film Amityville, la maison du diable et de son remake) et surtout, pour les plus fanatiques et pour les sataniques, par le Diable.
