James Cagney est un acteur, producteur de cinéma et réalisateur américain, né le 17 juillet 1899 à New York (État de New York), décédé le 30 mars 1986 à Stanfordville (État de New York).

Biographie

Il a reçu l'Oscar du meilleur acteur en 1942 pour son rôle dans La Glorieuse Parade.

Il fut l'une des grandes stars du Hollywood des années 1930, excellant dans les rôles de «dur», sans pour autant délaisser les films comiques. Il possède son étoile sur le Walk of Fame au 6502 Hollywood Blvd. Il fut l'une des personnalités imitées par le Ratpack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin et Sammy Davis jr) dans leurs spectacles des 1960.
