Yoneo Ishii
Yoneo Ishii, né à Tokyo en 1929, est un historien japonais.
Il fait ses études à l’université de Waseda. Il obtient son diplôme de droit à l'université de Kyoto.
Il s’intéresse à la recherche interdiciplinaire, l’histoire, la religion et la société en Asie du Sud-Est surtout en Thaïlande. Il devient professeur à l’université de Jochi (Université Sophia)
Il a participé au développement de la recherche coordonnée au niveau international, et formé beaucoup de chercheur dans son domaine..
