Humpty Dumpty est un personnage éponyme d'une comptine anglaise, le plus souvent représenté comme un œuf.

Il apparaît également dans le roman De l'autre côté du miroir de Lewis Caroll dans le best-seller policier-uchronique de Jasper Fforde Le puits des histoires perdues, où il est le chef du syndicat des personnages de comptines et dans "Toyland" un dessin animé.

Humpty Dumpty est également le titre d'un thème de jazz modal de Chick Corea, interprété notamment par le Corea Akoustic Band.

Le groupe Travis s'est également inspiré de cette contine pour leur chanson The Humpty Dumpty Love Song. On peut d'ailleurs retrouver de nombreuses allusions dans les paroles même si Humpty Dumpty n'est pas cité. De plus ce groupe met en scène Humpty Dumpty dans un de ses clips, celui de la chanson Coming Around.
