Hamra (חמרה) est un moshav fondé en mai 1971 au Sud du cours d'eau Tirtza, non loin de la route reliant Ma'aleh Adumim à Maalé-Arazim.

Il est tout d'abord appelé "Atarot", nom mentionné dans la Bible comme la frontière de la Tribu de Joseph (Livre de Josué 16/3), puis en 1971 rebaptisé "Hamra" ("terre rouge" en français), comme la nature des terres sur lesquelles s'installe le moshav.

Hamra s'étend sur une superficie de terres de 3500 dounamim. Il abrite une école primaire ouverte aux enfants de la région. Le moshav Hamra abrite aujourd'hui une cinquantaine de familles.
