Gunnison est une ville américaine située dans le comté de Sanpete, dans l’Utah. Selon le recensement de 2000, sa population s’élève à 2 394 habitants. Densité : 40 hab./km² (103,6 hab./mi²). Superficie totale : 13,7 km² (5,3 mi²). Coordonnées géographiques : 39°9′21″N 111°48′60″O / 39.15583, -111.81667.
Histoire
La ville a été fondée par des pionniers mormons en 1859. Celle-ci, située à l’ouest du site actuel, s’est d’abord appelée Chalk Point. Elle a été déplacée car l’emplacement était sujet aux inondations.
