saison 2009/2010La Gamma Ethniki (en grec moderne Γ΄ Εθνική, Nationale 3, sous-entendu Division) est le troisième et dernier niveau du football professionnel grec. Elle a été créée en 1965, alors comme championnat amateur puis a été refondue en 1983 en même temps que la Beta Ethniki (2e division), afin de mettre en place la nouvelle structure pyramidale du football professionnel en Grèce. Contrairement aux 2 divisions supérieures, une notion géographique existe puisque 2 groupes composent la Gamma Ethniki, Nord et Sud.

Système
2 groupes de 18 clubs composent le championnat. Au sein de chaque groupe, ces clubs jouent chacun 2 fois l'un contre l'autre, à domicile et à l'extérieur.
En fin de saison, apres 34 journées, les clubs promus en Beta Ethniki sont les vainqueurs de chacun des 2 groupes Nord et Sud, le 3e promu est le gagnant du barrage opposant les deuxièmes des groupes. Il y a 10 clubs relégués en Delta Ethniki, l'équivalent du championnat régional, ce sont les 5 derniers de chacun des groupes. Ils sont remplacés par les vainqueurs de chacun des 10 groupes qui composent la Delta Ethniki.
