Galen Avery Rowell (23 août 1940 - 11 août 2002) était un célèbre photographe de la vie sauvage et un escaladeur. Il était Américain. Il est né à Oakland en Californie et est mort à Bishop dans le même Etat.
Il devint un photographe à temps complet en 1972.
