Un airtime est la sensation d'impesanteur (ou de gravité négative) que l'on peut ressentir sur des montagnes russes ou d'autres types d'attractions. Sur des montagnes russes, cette sensation est souvent causée par le passage du train sur une bosse. Certains hypercoasters comme Magnum XL-200 à Cedar Point et Silverstar à Europa Park sont connus pour les nombreux airtimes qu'ils procurent.

Les air-times sont causés par l'inertie du train et de ses passagers. Quand le train passe une bosse, le poids des passagers tend à s'opposer à la force qui tire le véhicule vers le bas, ce qui fait décoller les passagers de leurs sièges un bref instant. L'importance d'un airtime dépend de la vitesse du train, de la gravité, et du rayon de l'arc décrit par la voie. La gravité zéro est atteinte quand l'accélération vers le bas est égale à celle de la gravité, alors que la gravité négative résulte d'une accélération supérieure à celle de la gravité.

Les habitués des montagnes russes différentient deux types d'airtimes : les "airtimes flottants" sont causés par une gravité zéro tandis que les "airtimes éjectants" correspondent à une force négative.
