Le Royal Scotsman est un des trains les plus luxueux et les plus prestigieux du monde. Dans la lignée des Express qui reliaient autrefois Londres à Édimbourg (Queen of Scots, Flying Scotsman) et des autres trains de luxe de la Belle Époque, le Royal Scotsman est un petit bijou sur rails. La décoration intérieure, selon le plus pur style edwardien, lui confère une ambiance de club privé et envoie le voyageur cent ans en arrière. Mais le mythe vient surtout de l'extérieur, de la légendaire Écosse.
Itinéraire
Départ de la gare de Waverley, à Edimbourg, au son des cornemuses. Le train fuit la capitale de l'Ecosse et, après avoir passé le pont suspendu du Forth, s'enfonce dans les austères campagnes, direction les Highlands, via Aberdeen et Inverness.
