Earache Records

Earache est un label de metal basé en Angleterre et fondé en 1986 par Digby Pearson. Ce nom est un jeu de mot anglais signifiant "mal d'oreilles" en rapport avec l'agressivité de la musique qu'il distribue.

De nombreux groupes de death metal et de grindcore qui ont eu une influence majeure sur ce style ont été signé chez Earache : Morbid Angel, Vader, Deicide, Entombed, Napalm Death, Carcass, Bolt Thrower ...
Certains groupes affiliés à d'autres sous-genre du metal sont également distribués par Earache, par exemple le groupe de black metal Anaal Nathrakh. On remarque cependant que les groupes appartiennent tous à la scène extrême.

Labels dépendant de Earache

  • Wicked World est un sous-label d'Earache créé en 1999. Les groupes Hate Eternal et Decapitated sont signés chez Wicked World.
  • Elitist Records est un autre sous-label d'Earache.
