David Grumel

David Grumel (né le 8 août 1971 à Albertville) est un auteur, compositeur, interprète français.

Il s'est notamment fait connaitre grâce à Scent of Magnolias, utilisée par Renault pour une publicité Scénic Latitude.

Biographie

David Grumel commence le piano classique dès 6 ans, et à 11 ans il intègre un premier groupe pour lequel il signe ses premières compositions. Un premier disque en 1985 avec le groupe Infinitif et depuis il n'a jamais arrêté. Il a également une formation d'ingénieur du son, fait beaucoup de studio, monté un label… Un parcours somme toute classique. Et c'est en 2000 que tout débute véritablement avec Peoplesound (numéro 1 des téléchargements en Europe)^{[réf. nécessaire]} et un premier simple sous son nom. Ensuite il signe en édition avec Universal Music Publishing, puis avec le label indépendant Naïve. Ce qui lui a permis de sortir son premier album solo en 2005 « Beaurivage » co-produit par Barði Jóhannsson.
