DNS Black Listing
Le DNS Black Listing (DNSBL) est une méthode permettant de consulter une liste noire d'émetteurs de courrier électronique en utilisant le protocole DNS. Le nom DNS Black Listing vient de l'expression anglaise black list qui signifie liste noire.
Le DNS Black Listing est utilisé en sécurité informatique pour identifier et filtrer le pourriel (spam) ou l'hameçonnage (phishing).
Fonctionnement
Le DNS Black Listing est un effort coopératif des fournisseurs de noms de domaine pour interdire le service DNS aux spammeurs connus.
Les spammeurs connus sont ainsi bloqués lorsqu'ils tentent d'obtenir l'adresse IP d'un fournisseur de courrier électronique, ce qui les empêche d'envoyer des courriers électroniques. En effet, pour envoyer un courrier électronique à l'utilisateur ayant l'adresse utilisateur@fournisseur.fr, le spammeur doit préalablement demander l'adresse IP du domaine fournisseur.fr, c'est cette demande qui est bloquée grâce au DNS Black Listing.
