Synopsis

Charles Tatum est un reporter plein d'ambition et sans scrupules qui s'est déjà fait renvoyer à plusieurs reprises. Il offre ses services au journal local d'Albuquerque, mais au bout d'un an il n'a toujours rien eu à se mettre sous la dent. Alors qu'il est envoyé couvrir une chasse au crotale, il apprend qu'un homme est bloqué dans une galerie d'une montagne où il cherchait des bijoux indiens enfouis. Heureux de tenir enfin une « vraie histoire », Tatum décide de tout faire pour couvrir l'évènement en exclusivité et s'assurer que le sauvetage dure le plus longtemps possible ... Un remake de ce film a été réalisé par COSTA GAVRAS ('MAD CITY') avec DUSTIN HOFFMAN et JOHN TRAVOLTA...(Pouvez vous confirmer ? L'histoire est différente mais la base principale est la même.)
