Le coup de Merrimac est une technique du jeu de bridge.

Le coup de Merrimac a pour but de détruire une rentrée indispensable dans une main présentant une longueur affranchissable. Il consiste à sacrifier un gros honneur (typiquement le Roi) pour obliger l'adversaire à jouer prématurement l'honneur supérieur qui constitue cette rentrée.

Dans l'exemple ci-contre, Est, en main à l'A après l'entame du 3, joue le R♠ pour faire sauter l'As. Les du mort sont maintenant inexploitables.
