Carte délimitant la Corn Belt

La Corn Belt, littéralement « ceinture de maïs », est un espace agricole majeur du Middle West des États-Unis. On délimite globalement cette zone à l'Iowa, l'Indiana, l'Illinois et l'Ohio ; la culture du maïs y est prépondérante au point qu'environ 50 % du maïs produit aux États-Unis provient de ces quatre États. Cependant les productions agricoles se sont beaucoup diversifiées.

On y pratique une agriculture industrialisée et modernisée sur de grands espaces.

Le terme est prisé en vulgarisation, par exemple dans les cours de géographie, où il permet de désigner efficacement ces caractéristiques de l'agriculture intensive des États-Unis.

De même un grand nombre de bovins y sont élevés.
