La statue d'Athéna Promachos se situait (au Ve siècle av. J.‑C.) dans l'acropole d'Athènes. Elle était faite de bronze. Elle servait dans la procession des panathénées qui consistait à traverser Athènes de la porte du Dipylon jusqu'à l'Érechthéion où était placée la statue d'Athéna. Ensuite ils devaient lui mettre une tunique différente de l'année précédente. Des sacrifices d'animaux et des prières concluaient la procession.
