Satawal est un atoll de Micronésie situé dans l'océan Pacifique et constitué d'une unique île. Administrativement, il constitue une Municipalité et une circonscription électorale de l'État de Yap. Située à environ 70 kilomètres de Lamotrek, elle est l'île la plus orientale des îles Yap.
Sa population, environ 500 habitants en 2000, parle le satawal, une langue océanienne proche de celle parlée à Woleai et apparentée à celles de Chuuk mais très différente de la langue de Yap.
