Le port de Shanghai (上海港) est à la fois un port en eau profonde — par l'intermédiaire du port de Yangshan — et un port fluvial. Il se situe à proximité immédiate dans la baie de Hangzhou entre la mer de Chine orientale et les cours d'eau Yangzi Jiang, Huangpu et Qiantang[1].
En 2010, le trafic de conteneurs y a atteint 29,05 millions d'EVP (équivalent vingt pieds), selon le gouvernement municipal. Shanghai a ainsi dépassé Singapour de 500.000 EVP. [1]
