Paul Creston

Paul Creston, né à New York le 10 octobre 1906, et mort à Poway dans la banlieue de San Diego (Californie) le 24 août 1985, est un compositeur américain.

Biographie

Il étudie le piano puis l'orgue mais reste autodidacte dans le domaine de la composition. Son œuvre est proche de celles de Roger Sessions et de William Schuman, non descriptive et à l'élément rythmique prépondérant^[1].
