Liquid!

Liquid!, ou Liquid Graphics, est une société fondée en 1996, association de 2 coloristes et amis de longue date, Aron Lusen et Christian Lichtner.

Liquid! a révolutionné le métier de coloriste de comics en faisant passer la mise en couleur à l'ère du numérique. En lui insufflant leur sensibilité artistique combinée à un style unique de coloriste numérique. Utilisant une palette de couleurs dynamiques et leur propre technique de rendu qui fait leur marque de fabrique, le style de Liquid! mis une claque à l'industrie du Comics, mettant la barre très haute et invita des générations d'artistes à penser différemment la façon de mettre en couleur les comics.

Parfois appelé le IML du Comics, Liquid! a remporté le « Wizard Magazine Fan Favorite Award » quatre années de suite, et fut encensé par la critique et le public. Liquid! a travaillé au fil des années pour de nombreux magazines et comics célèbres, des pochettes de disques, des jeux vidéo, et bien plus encore. Liquid! a comtribué aux titres les plus prolifiques du comics, comme X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, Spiderman, Battle Chasers, Fantastic Four… Aron et Chris ont même créer leur propre titre avec succès, EVE ProtoMecha, qui fut publié dans de nombreux pays.

Aujourd'hui, Aron et Chris sont chacun passés à de nouveaux projets artistiques personnels, mais réalisent encore de temps en temps des couvertures de comics pour leurs amis.

  • 2000 : Gagne le Wizard Fan Awards dans la catégorie « Meilleur Coloriste » pour X-Men et Fantastic Four[4]

  • 1999 : Second au Comics Buyer's Guide Awards dans la catégorie "Meilleur Coloriste"[6]
