Jones Very (28 août 1813 - 8 mai 1880) est un essayiste, poète, homme d'église et mystique américain affilié au mouvement transcendantaliste. Il est surtout connu pour être le spécialiste universitaire de William Shakespeare et en particulier de ses sonnets. Promu force vive du mouvement transcendantaliste, il est atteint jeune d'une maladie mentale qui ne lui permet plus d'apparaître au sein du mouvement.
