John B. Stetson

John Batterson Stetson (5 mai 1830 - 18 février 1906) est un américain, créateur du chapeau du même nom dit "Chapeau de cowboy" dans les années 1860.

Vendu en 1865 à Central City (Colorado) sous le nom de Boss of the Plains, plus tard il a été appelé Stetson par référence à son inventeur. Il a d'abord été utilisé par les cow-boys chez qui, il avait été popularisé par une tournée de Buffalo Bill.
