Grotesque Through Incoherence (alias GTI) est un groupe de metal français originaire de Nantes. Ils définissent eux même[1] leur style comme un mélange entre Death Metal, Experimental et Hardcore, le tout saupoudré d'une bonne dose d'humour (notamment dans l'utilisation de passages de films tels que Sacré Graal, La Classe Américaine...).

Formé aux alentours de 1998, le groupe tourne régulièrement dans la région nantaise, et finit par sortir un premier EP auto-produit en 2001, qui leur permet d'élargir le champ lors de leurs concerts. En 2004, ils sortent leur premier LP, Utopia City, qui connaît une jolie reconnaissance du milieu, et quelques chroniques très positives (W-Fenec[2], Thrashocore[3], Coreandco[4], Visual music[5], Lesaccrocsdumetal[6]...). Le groupe sort par la suite One Thousand Blasting Words en 2006, qui recueillera lui aussi des chroniques élogieuses (Gutsofdarkness[7], Decibelsstorm[8], Coreandco[9], Lechantdugrillon[10], Spiritofmetal[11]...) De manière relativement impromptue, le groupe se sépare en 2008, après un dernier concert le 14 juin au Ferrailleur à Nantes.
