Distribution
Cette espèce est endémique du nord de l'Australie, elle se rencontre jusqu'à 500 m d'altitude
- dans les cours inférieurs de l'Ord et du Fitzroy dans la région de Kimberley en Australie-Occidentale,
- au nord du Territoire du Nord jusqu'à la frontière avec le Queensland.
La zone d'occupation de cette espèce est d'environ 465 800 km2.
Description
Elle vit la saison sèche enfouie dans le sol. Elle habite les prairies des plaines des régions sèches tropicales et subtropicales.
