Certified Accountant est l’abréviation anglo-saxonne de divers titres d’expertise comptable.

Certified Accountants compétents en audit statutaire

Les titres ci-dessous sont exigés des auditeurs externes par les autorités (selon les pays par la loi, ou par une autorité comptable nationale, ou par les autorités boursières qui visent les comptes publiés par les sociétés cotées…) pour pouvoir certifier les comptes publiés par les entreprises. Au-delà de leur valeur légale dans leur pays d’origine pour exercer la fonction d’auditeur statutaire, certains de ces titres sont reconnus dans le monde entier pour leur exigence de connaissances et compétence.
Les titres issus dans l’Union Européenne (et dans d’autres pays autorisant l’utilisation des IFRS) nécessitent la connaissance des IFRS.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) est le titre légal pour pouvoir etre auditeur statutaire aux États-Unis, Hong Kong... CPA est la traduction utilisée communément pour les titres officiels en Chine continentale, Taiwan, Macao, Japon, Corée et dans d'autres pays.
  • Certified General Accountant : la désignation comptable canadienne décernée par la Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGAA-Canada)
  • Chartered Certified Accountant : dénomination décernée par l’Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), valide au Royaume-Uni.
  • Chartered Accountant : dénomination décernée par l`Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), l`Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) et l`Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).
  • Certified Practising Accountant Australia : accréditation comptable délivrée par la CPA Australia accountancy association
  • Certified National Accountant : la désignation comptable nigériane décernée par l`Association of Nigeria National Accountants (ANAN)

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA, Comptable en management accrédité), titre professionnel delivre aux États-Unis par l`Institute of Management Accountants, au Canada par la Society of Managements Accountants of Canada, en Australie par le CMA Australia et en Inde par l`Institute of Cost & Management Works Accountants (ICWAI).
  • Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA)[1], titre delivre par la Chartered Institute of Management Accountants britannique et l`AICPA americaine.
  • ACMA et FCMA membres diplomés du Chartered Institute of Management Accountants britannique.
  • Certified Practising Accountant : accréditation comptable délivrée par l`Institute of Certified Practising Accountants (ICPA) au Royaume-Uni
