La Blues Foundation est une association américaine à but non lucratif, basée à Memphis dans le Tennessee. Fondée en 1980, et dirigée par un bureau de 25 personnes, elle a pour but de préserver l'histoire de la musique Blues. Elle est en relation avec plus de 175 organisations concernant le blues dans le monde entier.
À ses débuts la Foundation organisait la remise annuelle du prix W.C. Handy pour « donner une reconnaissance aux meilleurs interprétations et enregistrements de blues ». Depuis le prix a été renommé en Blues Music Award.
La Blues Foundation est aussi en charge des Blues Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, International Blues Challenge Competition, Keeping the Blues Alive Awards et Blues In The Schools programs.
