Observations particulières

L'album est sous-titré : Asia Minor Cha Cha Cha. Sorti en 1956, ce LP fut resorti en 1964 sur le label Forum Records / Forum Circle (une émanation du label Roulette Records destiné à presser des rééditions d'albums à moindre coût pour les "épiceries" et le début de ce qui sera le commerce de grande distribution (Voir : Forum/Forum Circle Album Discography par David Edwards et Mike Callahan [1]). A noter que Cal Tjader, musicien latin jazz a fait à cette même époque un disque LP avec des touches asiatiques.

Contexte et Historique de l'album

La danseuse de ventre et le swami allongé sur la pochette rendent dément le cha cha cha. "Asia Minor" fut un single à succès (Tube (musique)) pour Roger King Mozian, remercié pour une large part dans cet album, pas de doute(…).(…) Le très fort (et fort!) son de cuivre et les performances vocales variées font mouche, et la sélection comprend "El Bejuco (The Branch)" de Chano Pozzo.
