Alexander Armstrong (né le 2 mars 1970) est un acteur et un présentateur de télé britannique.

Né dans la comté de Northumberland, il forme à 22 ans un duo comique avec Ben Miller à l'université.

Acteur dans de nombreux shows comiques, il forme à la télévision entre 1997 - 2001 un show nommé Armstrong & Miller. Habitué à la comédie, on le voit dans de nombreuses sitcoms à la télévision anglaise (Beast, Christmas Pantomine, etc...)

En 2004, il co-anime l'émission comique "Best of the Worst" sur Channel 4, et apparait couramment dans des émissions comiques comme Have I Got News for You, When Were We Funniest? et Pointless

En parallèle de sa carrière de présentateur, il a fait de nombreux rôles dans des téléfilms comme Saxondale, The Trial of Tony Blair, Hotel Babylon. Depuis 2007, il double la voix de Voix de M. Smith l'ordinateur de Sarah Jane Smith dans les séries The Sarah Jane Adventures et Doctor Who
