Yonezawa (米沢市, Yonezawa-shi?) est une ville de la préfecture de Yamagata au nord de l'île de Honshu au Japon.

En 2011, la population s'élevait à 88 831 habitants et sa densité était de 162 personnes par km². Sa superficie est de 548,74 km².

La ville fut fondée le 1er avril 1889.

Yonezawa est connue pour ses mets (pomme, bœuf et carpe) et comme ville fortifié qui a servi d'habitation à Yozan Uesugi.
