Voltage Controlled Amplifier

Dans le cadre de l'audio, le VCA (voltage controlled amplifier, ou amplificateur commandé par tension) est un système de groupage de commande dans une console de mixage. Il permet de commander par un fader unique un ensemble de signaux qui, contrairement au groupage audio, conservent leur indépendance.

Le gain du VCA est commandé par une tension continue qui fait varier l'intensité sonore du signal audio qui le traverse via la position du fader.

Sur une console de mixage, il est généralement possible d'affecter n'importe quelle tranche où transite un signal audio sous commande du VCA, en activant l'affectation par un bouton poussoir présent sur chaque tranche.
