Timberline Lodge, dans les années 1940

Timberline Lodge est une loge du côté sud du Mont Hood, dans l'Oregon, à environ 96 km à l'est de Portland.

Construit dans les années 1930, ce National Historic Landmark siège à 1 816 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, dans la forêt nationale du Mont Hood et est accessible par la Mont Hood Scenic Byway.

C'est aujourd'hui une attraction touristique, qui accueille chaque année plus d'un million de personnes. Ce fut également le décor extérieur du film Shining de Stanley Kubrick.
