Avraham Fried

Abraham Shabbsaï HaCohen Friedman, plus connu sous le nom d'Avraham Fried, est un chanteur juif américain de renommée internationale dans le milieu hassidique. Il appartient lui-même au Mouvement Loubavitch, et son frère, le Rav Manis Friedman, est lui-même réputé pour les cours religieux qu'il donne.
Son répertoire inclut aussi bien des compositions modernes, par exemple celles du prolifique Yossi Green, que des Nigounim du répertoire traditionnel 'Habad. Son style, traditionnel, intègre de nombreux éléments modernes comme la pop, le rock et le jazz, qu'il combine avec bonheur aux poèmes et mélodies juives.

Bien qu'il vive à Crown Heights, l'un des centres mondiaux du mouvement Loubavitch, sa carrière l'oblige à voyager fréquemment.
