Le syndrome de Boerhaave correspond à une rupture de la paroi œsophagienne le plus souvent dans le cadre de vomissements excessifs. Il s'agit d'une urgence chirurgicale.
Ce syndrome a été décrit pour la première fois par Herman Boerhaave.
