Spearfish est une ville américaine située dans le comté de Lawrence, dans l'ouest du Dakota du Sud. La population de la ville s'élevait à 10 494 habitants en 2010. La ville a été fondée lors de la ruée vers l'or dans les collines noires de 1876.

Météorologie

Le climat y est très variable. La ville détient le record mondial du plus rapide changement de température : le 22 janvier 1943, la température est passée de - 20 °C à 7 h 30 à 7 °C deux minutes plus tard à cause du chinook qui s'était brusquement mis à souffler[1].
