Alexander Bennett Carmichael, est né le 2 février 1944 à Glasgow. C’est un ancien joueur de rugby à XV qui a joué avec l'équipe d'Écosse de 1967 à 1978, évoluant au poste de pilier.

Carrière

Il a eu sa première cape internationale le 25 février 1967 à l’occasion d’un match contre l'équipe d'Irlande. Il a disputé son dernier test match avec l'équipe d'Écosse le 21 janvier 1978 aussi contre l'Irlande.

Il a participé au tournoi des cinq nations de 1967 à 1978.
