Pick up est un film de court métrage français de Lucia Sanchez, diffusé en 2005.
Synopsis
Film muet tourné à Benidorm sur la Costa Blanca près d’Alicante en Espagne. Lucia Sanchez y porte un regard incisif, humoristique et vitriolé, sur une station balnéaire bétonnée.
Dans ce petit film rythmé comme une petite comédie musicale, Lucia Sanchez filme les cages à lapin bétonnées de l’Espagne du sud avec une maestria qui évoque Playtime de Jacques Tati. Elle fait danser sous sa caméra les corps vieillissants de touristes qui persistent à voir dans la bronzette et les bains de soleil pommadés un nec plus ultra du bonheur.
Le montage musclé et la structure solide de ce petit film en font un petit bijou du film expérimental.
Ce film, diffusé sur Arte le 25 juin 2005 sera ensuite projeté dans le cadre du Festival Paris Cinéma.
