Nine Days est un groupe de rock, populaire au début des années 2000. Formé à Long Island par John Hampson et Brian Desveaux, ils ont sorti 3 albums indépendants dans les années 1990 avant l'album de tous les succès, The Madding Crowd, sorti en 2000. Le groupe en a sorti 2 hits aux USA, Absolutely (Story of a Girl) et If I Am. Un autre album,So Happily Unsatisfied, était prévu pour 2003. En raison de complications avec leur label Sony, l'album n'est jamais sorti car le groupe n'avait plus les droits des chansons ni ceux de l'album précédent qui aujourd'hui continue à se vendre mais ne rapporte rien au groupe. Sony empochant tous les revenus de l'album, le groupe estime s'être fait voler. Malheureusement le titre que Sony avait décidé de sortir comme single (Good Friend) n'est pas considéré par les fans comme étant le meilleur titre de l'album, son choix par la maison de disques ayant d'ailleurs été également critiqué par le groupe.

Après leur séparation d'avec Sony, le groupe a sorti sous leur propre label un autre album : Flying The Corporate Jet. À la mi-Août 2006, Nine Days s'est réuni et est retourné en studio pour enregistrer Slow Motion Life (Part One)], un nouvel EP avec 6 chansons, sorti le 19 janvier 2007. Slow Motion Life (Part Two) était prévu pour le début de l'été 2007. A l'heure actuelle, le site officiel n'existe plus.

Membres en solo

Hampson a sorti un album entièrement solo, Seventeen Minutes And Thirty Eight Seconds In The Dark. Son autre album solo, Shiny New Album, est sorti le 26 mai 2009. Enfin, un nouvel album solo devrait sortir en 2010. Il s'appelle Private Little Revolutions, devrait contenir 8 chansons, et être produit par Nick Didia qui avait produit The Madding Crowd.

Desveaux a lui aussi sorti un album entièrement solo : Alive Today.
