Appa est un personnage de fiction Avatar, le dernier maître de l'air, le dessin animé diffusé par Nickelodeon. Appa est le seul bison volant vivant.
Histoire
Le plus jeune stade connu de la vie d'Appa est lorsqu'il n'était qu'un veau. C'est à ce moment qu'il rencontre Aang pour la première fois. Aang s'avança et offrit une pomme à Appa. Le fait que leurs vies soient si imbriquées est dû au fait qu'ils partagent l'énergie entre eux, comme le révèle l'épisode intitulé Les Jours Perdus d'Appa.
Appa resta en biostase au côté d'Aang pendant cent ans jusqu'à ce que Katara et Sokka les découvrent. Depuis lors Appa a été le principal moyen de transport du groupe dans leur quête pour aider Aang à maîtriser tous les éléments. Appa est un membre important du groupe dans la série jusqu'à ce qu'il soit capturé par les maîtres du sable.
